The UK, Ireland, and France do not share one simple home-carrier roaming rule. A travel eSIM avoids that confusion when its own coverage list names every stop.
Arrival-day data has unusually high value
Airport transfers, ferry updates, rail platforms, accommodation messages, and onward boarding passes often arrive during the travel legs. Installing one plan before departure reduces the number of setup moments on the road.

Before you choose.
Can one Europe eSIM cover the UK, Ireland, and France?
Yes, if all three appear in the provider's coverage list. The UK leaving the EU does not stop a travel eSIM provider from including it in a regional Europe product.
Is Ireland covered by a UK eSIM?
Do not assume so. The Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom are separate destinations for product coverage. Choose a regional plan naming both or buy separate packages.
Do I need a new eSIM after taking the Eurostar or a ferry?
Not when one regional plan covers the countries on both sides of the journey. The same installed eSIM should reconnect to a supported network after arrival.
Can I keep receiving verification texts on my normal number?
On a compatible dual-SIM phone, you can usually keep the primary line available for calls and texts while assigning mobile data to the travel eSIM. Your home carrier may still charge for calls, texts, or roaming services.
